Invitation
Little Bucharest & Continental Café Restaurants, would like to invite you to our 17th annual Chicago’s Taste of Romania that will take place this fall on September 15th and 16th on the corner of Addison and California.
Our event attracts over 20,000 people from the Romanian and Slavic communities of Chicago, in addition to our regulars in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The event also attracts many politicians. In the past, many former governors have attended, including Governor Rod Blagojevich.
What magnetizes our audience is the authentic music and folk dancing – as we bring in renowned singers from Europe and dancers that are notably the best Greek, Polish, Serbian, and Romanian that one will find in our ethnically diverse city. The real draw however is our fare – roast lamb, pig and oxen as well as other delicacies, which leave the entire neighborhood wanting more of this fabulous grilling affair.
Our traditional grape stomping is a special event in which we would like to invite you and your family to join us in. This is a delightful opportunity and symbolizes our meaningful harvest and our success.
This event is one of celebration that benefits from great media coverage, over the years having been interviewed by Chicago’s local television Channels CBS 2, NBC 5, ABC 7, WGN 9 and WTTW 11 as well as the local Romanian television producers. This year we are honored to have one of Romania’s leading television station, PROTV, coming to the festival to film for a feature presentation to be aired at a later date. Articles have also been written about the event in the Chicago Tribune, Sun-Times, Reader and Lerner, covering the event. TV audiences will once again see our Romanian community in its finest traditions of food, music, and dance.
All this being said, we would like to see your business benefit from our endeavor as well. All the media coverage and thousands of people attending is by far the best opportunity to promote your services most efficiently and directly to our community
Please accept our invitation to the 17th annual Taste of Romania for the celebration of cultures which Chicago is especially rich.
